This is the catalog produced for the exhibition entitled X-0ffenders: A Year in the Life of a Proto-Punk, 1976. Sponsored by The Douglas and Linda Paul Gallery at The Englert Theater as part of Iowa City’s Mission Creek Festival. It is a visual memoir of Lisa Jane Persky’s time at ground zero of Punk’s poppier beginnings in downtown New York City and includes the following:

Essay written for 2015 The Experience Music Project Pop Conference first published in Issue no. 8 of The Pitchfork Review (January 2016) which describes a day lived in the midst of this burgeoning scene.

40 Photographs from 40 years ago with descriptions:
Thumbnails of 36 photographs taken by Lisa Jane Persky plus
4 additional images taken with Persky’s camera and curated by her to round out the memoir. Includes photos of Blondie, Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Divine, Lance Loud, Monti Rock III, Gary Valentine (Lachman), Van Smith, David Lochary, Paul Zone, Richard Sohl and more.
